IMG_4544

The first fix electrics in the Orangery Kitchen Extension has now been finished, it was a bigger job than we first thought mainly due to the number of lighting zones, switches and the basic configuration of the Orangery roof which means that to get anywhere you have to go all the way round the edge, …

Orangery Extension Part 16: First Fix Electrics

It has been a little while since I posted an update about the work on the Orangery Kitchen Extension. Conservatec have finished their part of the work, although they have left me with some finishing off of their work to do. The roof lacked roof straps and the air bricks are too high and point …

Conservatec have been back today to finish off the rest of the outstanding parts of their work. They re-did some of the fiberglass as there was a small leak and covered the roof with its final cover, finished off the fascia and guttering and sealed the doors. They have finished off some of the glass fibre cover, fitted the fascia and guttering and then installed the lantern complete with glass, which means that effectively the roof is weatherproof. We still have …

Orangery Extension Part 11: Fiberglass Cover On The Roof

IMG_4269

Conservatec made good progress yesterday slightly curtailed by the rail in the late afternoon. They got the whole roof Fiberglassed. I think the plan for today is to get the orangery window fitted. Which will be again a huge leap forward.
